Complimentary consultation

Your complimentary consultation includes a medical/dental history, X-rays to determine jaw relationships and to survey the teeth and supporting bone and tissue, proportional photos of the patient’s face and teeth, a clinical exam and personal consultation with one of our doctors.  If you decide to undergo treatment with Russell Orthodontics, your next visit will include complete diagnostic records, which are used to develop a custom treatment plan for each patient. At that time, impressions are taken of the patient’s teeth along with a wax bite registration, which are used to create study models.  Our doctors analyze these records and prepare the diagnosis and treatment plan which will be presented to you during your treatment conference. These records are also helpful in tracking the progress of treatment as the teeth move under orthodontic care.

After the doctor has evaluated your records, we discuss your treatment with you in detail, including the cost for your particular case.

Regular appointments

The appointment when you get your appliances (braces, expanders, etc.) usually takes one to two hours. You'll then see us at regular intervals four to eight weeks apart for an adjustment, which takes 20 to 40 minutes. Patients are seen by appointment only. We make every effort to be on time for our patients and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately.
